How I keep my hair shiny and hydrated with blonde highlights

Brondes do have more fun

I have been wanting to go lighter for a long time but every time I went to the salon I
would chicken out and go the more subtle route. Well, this time I wanted a bigger change, not sure if it’s because I am cooped up in my house and just looking for lighter and brighter while also just NEEDING a change, any change, or what but I had the guts to go lighter this time and I am so glad I did. If you are in need of a salon locally here in Buffalo, NY, I go to Michael the Salon in East Amherst and would highly recommend it.

Anywho, one of the reasons that I was apprehensive about going lighter was having dry and straw like hair from the dye so I jumped on buying preventive products that will help in retaining shine and hydration. These are the products I’ve been using and
I have been loving them so far!

This shampoo was highly recommended to me by my hair stylist so I bought while I was still sitting in the salon chair (That’s Amazon for ya!). This shampoo is said to brighten and restore natural tones to blonde hair, in other words, preventing the blonde to change into that brassy color that can sometimes happen.: Brightening Shampoo

My hair stylist also recommended this oil which is a highly-concentrated, weightless reparative styling oil. It is said to dramatically increase shine, softness, and color vibrancy. Minimizes fly-aways and frizz while also providing heat protection of up to 450°. —sounds great to me and I have been LOVING it! I can attribute the shine to this guy!: Bonding oil

I also wanted something to put in my hair as a treatment and preventive measure to avoid dryness in the future so I went with this Volumizing Leave In Conditioning Treatment . It’s a Keratin based leave-in detangler that neutralizes hard water minerals while providing shine and vibrancy. Ideal for fine to medium hair because it also works double time to provide volume as well. This one you spray on damp hair after you wash it. You can also use it on 2nd day hair to refresh and restyle it and it smells amazing!

While I was at it, I bought this Boar Bristle Hair Brush and it’s amazing! It immediately tames flyaways and frizz and it is said to have a 100% natural conditioning treatment to make your hair smooth, shiny, and looking it's best. I am truly loving it!

Of course you probably don’t need all of this but I just personally wanted to try my best to avoid any dryness or frizz that can sometimes come with chemically treated hair. So I wanted to share my purchases if anyone has lighter hair or is thinking of going lighter and is having the same concerns as me!

Also, a few of you direct messaged me yesterday asking about my CC hair clip (mine is sold out, ugh!) but linked a similar one that is SUPER cute
