Affordable Makeup Dupes
Under $12 Makeup Dupes
These are all Makeup Dupes that are IMO just as good as the high end name brands but with a MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE price tag.
e.l.f. lip plumping gloss : I have been a huge fan of Buxom Full On Plumping Lip gloss for years because I love the faint minty smell and slight tingling sensation but $21 a pop is pretty steep. I tried this e.l.f. lip plumping gloss about a month ago now on a whim- I threw it into my cart last minute on Amazon and boy, I am glad I did! The e.l.f. gloss has the same minty smell and tingle that I love but is close to a third of the price of Buxom, making it a fantastic dupe! I got the color: ‘champagne glam’ but I’m thinking of buying it in other colors soon! I used ‘Peach Bellini’ in Buxom in my Instagram stories videos. Click here if you want to take a look at it: https://www.instagram.com/cmclifestyle__/ I show all three products compared to their more costly counterparts.
L'Oreal Paris Makeup Infallible Foundation : I used Dior Forever Foundation for about 2 years and loved it but was getting over paying $52 for foundation so I went on a hunt for a more affordable option that was similar and after about a month of searching, I found it! This dupe also has SPF in it which was important to me as well, albeit Dior sports SPF 35 and L’Oreal’s is SPF 25 but for less than third of the price, and you should really always wear a full on SPF under your makeup anyways, I was OK with it. What I liked about Dior was that it was lightweight but still had good coverage (I am not a fan of cakey, heavy foundations). This L’Oreal Infallible is all that and more, it is very lightweight but offers the same amount of coverage as it’s more expensive dupe. L’Oreal also gives a nice glow AND it even smelled similar to Dior (some people may not like a fragrance in their foundation but I become accustom to it while using Dior and ended up liking it (it is very subtle and not overwhelming at all). I use the shade ‘480 Radiant Sand’ in L’Oreal and used to use ‘4N’ in Dior.
Sephora Lip Stick : For $9 I really have to admit that the formula is amazing. It’s essentially the same as the Marc Jacobs lipstick I use in my Instagram stories. It’s not drying at all but more of a hydrating cremey consistency. I use the shade ‘Somewhere in Spain’ in the Sephora Lip Stick and used Marc Jacobs in shade ‘No Angel’. Actually, right now it looks like it is on sale for $16 at Sephora- if you were interested in trying Marc Jacobs as well.
